SMS Templates
SMS Templates - How to setup SMS templates?
1) Go to Settings - Communication Setup - SMS Templates
2) Click the + icon in the bottom right corner of the SMS Template Setup screen
3) Adding New SMS Template window will pop up, inside this window you have:
- Template Name: This will be the name the template is known by on the SMS Template Setup window
- 0/160: You have 160 characters to type you SMS, if you go over that then it will send the message over two SMS messages (2 credits will be used), there fore be charged double the rate for each message you send.
- Merge Fields: You can input patient details / practice details without typing those details into every SMS sent.

3) You can edit any pre-existing text that is in the template on this screen. You can also add merge fields in from the right hand side, and change the template name at the top.
4) Once you are finished, click the save icon

Email Templates - How to setup Email templates?
1) Go to Settings - Communication Setup - Email Templates
2) Click the + icon in the bottom right corner of the SMS Template Setup screen
3) You can either create a brand new template or copy an existing template (click the drop down for more options as to which template)
3) Adding New Email Template window will pop up, inside this window you have:
- Template Name: This will be the name the template is known by on the SMS Template Setup window
- Subject and Bcc: These work the same as sending an email and will appear in every email sent
- Merge Fields: You can input patient details / practice details without typing those details into every Email sent.
4) To add a merge field in, click on the relevant field from the list (or search Merge Fields) provided, click the top right where it says ‘Insert Field’
5) you can attach files from the paperclip in the bottom left
6) You can see the message that the patient is going to receive by clicking on preview
7) Once finished, click the save icon
