NEW FEATURE: [[Kiosk]] Mode! Patients can now check themselves in for appointments and complete any outstanding documents which have been requested for PearlPad or Patient Portal.
There are new SMS & Email confirmation [[templates]], a tool to replace or deactivate staff in a breeze and new X-ray reports that can be filtered by staff plus more!
Pearl Kiosk
Introducing the interactive Kiosk mode! The Kiosk allows patients to perform self check-in and requested documents independently. Patients love a streamlined patient journey, and this can start with completing paperless forms all in one place from the Kiosk. Your reception team will also appreciate the reduced front of house work load so they can focus on other tasks like booking future appointments or returning patient calls.
Document submissions will appear under the patient's Correspondence tab.

Email & SMS Appointment
Confirmation Templates
Appointment confirmation SMS & Email templates may now be customised with new merge fields.
Head to Settings > Communication Setup > [[Email Templates]] / SMS Templates to adjust the new appointment confirmation templates.
Or you can select an existing template by going to Settings > Communication Setup > Default Communication Templates.
Appointment confirmation SMS & Email templates have some new merge fields starting with 'Selected'.
Appointment confirmation messages can be sent either when booking in an initial appointment or right clicking on an existing appointment.
Replacement & Deactivating
Staff Tool
A new utility has been added to make deactivation of user profiles for staff members who have left the practice much quicker.
It will allow you to view or move registered patients, open treatment plans, or future appointments. You can then tie up the lose ends for the practitioner before deactivating.
Administrators on Pearl can access this tool by going to: Utilities > Administrator Utilities > Deactivate Staff
X-ray Reports
All of the x-ray reports can now be filtered down to specific staff who have recorded an x-ray quality record. You can also filter out any unreported x-rays (enabled by default).
If you would like to enable the X-ray Quality Record Tool. Head to settings > Practice Settings > Dental > Enable X-Ray Quality Tool
To access these reports head to Reporting > Reports Library > X-ray

Send feedback button on the login page now uses the updated feedback form
Dental x-ray integration VistaSoft Version 3 added
Improvements made to loading times for email templates
Prevents simultaneous NHS transmissions by multiple users
Questionnaire printout now includes patient information
Pearl will now ask users if they wish to add a bill to the Patient Accounts when Check & Signing a manual FP17
PearlPad / Portal documents completed symbol tooltip will now display the documents which are pending or have been completed more clearly
Updating a NHS Treatment Plan from incomplete to complete will now automatically update the FP17
