NHS England and Wales compatibility

Not only Pearl is perfectly compatible with private and orthodontic practices, its also fully compatible with NHS England and Wales practices. We produce a totally accurate practice UDA/UOA counter. Pearl automatically reconciles your scheduled UDAs/UOAs. We keep you informed about every aspect of your FP17 claims.

Keeping Pearl Up To Date

Pearl will update monthly, this will happen automatically. You will receive an email which lists all of the brand new features added in that months update.

Go Paperless

Modernise the way your patients provide information and consent with our solution to digital signing, the Pearl Portal, PearlPad and Kiosk your patient facing forms are signed digitally and automatically saved to the patient’s folder. No more need to print, scan and file your forms, all three of these features saves your team time and saves you money. At Pearl we believe going truly paperless is a given. Online Backup

Pearl can provide you with secure, encrypted online backup. Backups are taken automatically once a day. An email will be sent to your practice to confirm the data has been successfully backed up and alert you to any issues in the rare instances they occur.

Your Transition To Pearl

First Contact

in the first conversation we will aim to understand much more about you as a practice and what your requirements are to ensure we are fit for purpose. We can often perform a live online demonstration on the day or arrange a suitable time to do so with all the people involved. We can also leave you with a trail version of Pearl that you can try before purchasing.

Commitment

The team will provide you with a cost for the data transfer, installation and training. This will be tailored to your practice, it can include multiple training days and additional services such as an accompany day, train the trainer, hardware installation and x-ray services.

Initial Data Migration

When you are happy to proceed with the initial contact. Our team will ask to take a copy of your existing systems data to perform a "trial" data transfer. We will provide you with a data processor agreement when we take data. Once this is available our team will be in touch to demonstrate Pearl Dental Software with your practice data loaded onto it. Any questions or concerns you may have can be addressed and planned for accordingly.

Final Data Migration

Once you are ready to move forward, we will aim to where possible run a final migration on a fresh backup from your existing system on the same day as installation. This will mean all data in Pearl is up to date with what is in your existing system.

Installation and Training

With an up-to-date copy of your database in hand our team will arrive at your practice (Online Installations are available) to perform training. This generally can be done in one day but we will tailor it to your requirements. Training will be performed on a "demo" copy of your practice's data and our team will ensure all your staff have a good understanding of the patient journey within Pearl by the end of the training workshop. By the end of your bespoke training package your up-to-date Pearl database will be initialized ready for you to check in your first patient!

Here To Support

We will leave you with all the contact numbers you will need for on-going support, follow-up calls can be arranged to ensure your practice stays on the right track. All support can be done via remote support utilities that allow our team to demote in and see your desktop to help assist in any training or support requirements.

The Future

You will receive our updates as they are released and have access to all the up-to-date features. If you ever decide that Patient Portal, PearlPad, Kiosk or our X-Ray integrations are the way to go you can activate these features with no additional monthly cost

Square Terminal is the card machine for everything from managing items and taking payments to printing receipts and getting paid. It’s reliable, intuitive and lets you start selling fast. Once the payment has been taken it will upload the payment instantly into Pearl. You will no longer have to keep a track of your card machines banking at the end of the day, because Pearl will print you a full comprehensive banking report of what payments have been taken from your Square Terminal.

FAQ

How does Pearl compare with more expensive practice management software?

It does everything found in the most expensive dental software package but it is simpler to use. Let’s list a few features; patient records, patient accounts, diary, charting (as taught to dental nurses), pre-made diary recalls, traditional recalls, clinical notes with autotext, simple BPE and enhanced BPE with 6-point pocket depth, soft tissue recording, medical history, merging to text messaging, merging to Microsoft Outlook, merging to Microsoft Word, sticky notes on patient record, family group handling, ad hoc searching and sorting, etc. Check out our new Pearl Dental tutorials to find out what we do and how we do it!

Pearl Dental Software is cloud based, what does that mean for me?

We’ve developed the latest Pearl product to fit the needs of dentists, whether they work in a single surgery or at multiple sites. Being cloud based means you can now access your system from anywhere in th world. It’s perfect for finishing your clinical notes at home, or remotely managing multiple practices on the go! Your data is fully encrypted and securely backed-up by us, so tick managing your back-ups off the list. We got this! Please note that the computer you use must have Pearl installed on it to run the program.

Can I trial the software before purchasing?

Yes, Pearl can do so much so we like to talk you through the software before leaving you to have a try on your own. We’re happy to set Pearl up on your computer, we’ll then give you a quick demo and leave you to it.

Do I need to pay for a year upfront?

No, most of our clients pay monthly through direct debit (unless they’ve asked for a different payment plan). We want the software and our great customer support to be the reason you stay with Pearl, not worries over the upfront cost and scary contracts. We try to keep our pricing simple and transparent with no hidden fees

Is there a contract between us?

There is no ‘tie in’ contract at all. For as long as you pay the subscriptions you may continue to use Pearl. We will keep you on the latest version and never let you down on support.

Do I need any additional software?

Have at least one PC on your network that uses Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook (if you want to produce email merges). Text messaging does not require any extra software but does require the broadband connection.

What happens if all my PCs are destroyed or stolen?

So long as you have a backup. Ensure your replacement PC has an internet connection, we’ll get you going again in 15 minutes!
